Using an ecstatic video camera, I capture the moments before, during, and after participants pose for what they call a “punk passport” ID photo. The work is part of my “post-migratory” practice: an ongoing exercise in reconnecting with roots, exploring a sense of belonging, and creating “quasi-passport” records — a practice I had to carry out for almost twenty years while renewing my residence permits in Europe.
