Wings like corsets that jut out, placed on the chest
Wings that look like pieces of ribs.
Wings like an x in an equation waiting to be solved.
Like what I hold, what emerges.
Like ribs sprouting from the earth.
Like larvae transformed into wings, thin and light.
Like the mines scattered in the soil, exploding into the shape of wings — sprouting, beating, smashing ribs.
